Dear Friends of Untermyer Gardens:
The end of 2017 arrived with a frigid thud.
The first half of the Grand Holiday Illumination went brilliantly, setting attendance and donation records. Then the Arctic made a prolonged visit to Yonkers, and the second half was less than robust. Happily, "warmer" days have returned.

Last year also saw the addition of several members to our Board of Directors: Batya Gorin, Richard Greco, Lee Michel, and Denise Santomero. Each of them brings important new attributes, skills, and expertise to the Board, including youth!

I am delighted to deliver our annual Winter Lecture on Monday, February 26, in Manhattan. The subject will be "Persian Gardens in Iran," exploring their history, design, meaning, and relevance to Untermyer Gardens.
