The long walk down the Vista to the bottom of the hill is becoming even more interesting. The sunflowers in the Vegetable Garden, a tribute to Ukraine, are quite tall and handsome, with various yellow and red varieties coming into bloom. Nearby, the pergola is getting its first bit of shade thanks to some Persian watermelons, whose tendrils are quickly climbing the grid of twine stretched between the columns.
