Garden Rules
Please remember we are a public garden, not a playground. We ask that you honor the following rules:
Do not block areas or pathways to take photos. Allow others to enjoy the gardens. Please stay on paths or lawns; do not walk on beds. Do not disturb plants or pick flowers. Dogs are not allowed in the gardens with the exception of service dogs (as defined by the ADA) which are always welcome. Please remember that the ADA definition of service animal is an animal that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. This definition does not include comfort or emotional support dogs. No picnicking, except at the designated picnic tables outside the Walled Garden. No blankets on the lawns within the garden fencing. No food or drink (except water bottles) in the garden. Please put all trash in trash cans. Keep the gardens beautiful for everyone. No recreational sports. No bicycles allowed. No smoking allowed. No tree or rock climbing. No wading or swimming in the water. Use radios and amplified music with headphones only. Please be considerate when using cellular phones. Do not feed animals or birds. Photography for personal use is allowed. No tripods, no disrobing. Professional / wedding / special occasion photography by permit only: call 914-377-6450 during regular business hours. No drones allowed. Confetti, balloons, flower petals (both real and fake), large props, rice or birdseed are not allowed. No limousines or buses may be parked on the property at any time. All parties that use limousines must be dropped off at the street entrance. No limousines or buses are allowed in the garden driveway or entrance. |
