The Conservancy's 2021 Sunset Soirée will take place on Tuesday, September 14, in the Walled Garden from 6:00–9:00 pm, with cocktails, lavish hors d’oeuvres, and dessert prepared by X2O. The benefit is co-chaired by Thomas W. Lollar, Lee Michel, and Betsy Pinover Schiff.
This wonderful reunion will be made even more jubilant as we celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Untermyer Gardens Conservancy and honor Stephen F. Byrns, whose inspired vision and dedication have driven the garden’s extraordinary renaissance. The Samuel Untermyer Award will be presented to Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Majority Leader of the New York State Senate and a longtime friend, neighbor, and advocate of the garden. The Soirée accounts for one quarter of the Conservancy’s projected operating revenue, and its success is crucial to our ability to care for Untermyer Gardens, which is open to all free of charge.
