Westchester Philharmonic String Quintet, July 9
Sunday, July 9 at 5:00 PM. The Westchester Philharmonic String Quintet is composed of two violinists, a violist, and two cellists from the leading professional orchestra in Westchester County, renowned for its outstanding performances and exceptional musicianship.
For their upcoming performance, the quintet will be presenting a truly monumental program, featuring one of the most celebrated and beloved chamber music works: the Schubert String Quintet. This piece, which calls for two cellos in addition to the usual string quartet lineup, is a stunningly beautiful and emotionally rich masterpiece that is perfectly suited to the grandeur and majesty of the venue where the performance will take place.
In addition to the Schubert String Quintet, the Westchester Philharmonic String Quintet will be performing a Schubert trio and a Boccherini quintet.
This concert is dedicated in loving memory of Christine Kenney O'Rourke.
RAIN OR SHINE: In case of inclement weather, the performance will move indoors to the Community Room of the Cola Center at Untermyer Park and Gardens.
