Townsley's Jubilee Singers, July 16
CANCELLED - Due to the predicted heavy thunderstorms and the broken air conditioning in the Cola Center Community Room, we are cancelling the performance. We hope to welcome back the Townsley's Jubilee next year.
Sunday, July 16 at 5:00 PM. The Untermyer Gardens Amphitheater is set to come alive once again with the sensational performance of Townsley's Jubilee Singers. This group of seasoned gospel singers hails from Brooklyn, and they are returning for their second year after an outstanding performance last year. The audience was up and dancing and singing in their seats, swept up in the contagious rhythms and joyful spirit of the performers.
Townsley's Jubilee Singers are second and third-generation descendants of the pioneers of gospel music. Their music selection is diverse, and they take the audience on a musical journey with African chants, Negro spirituals, jubilee songs, as well as jazz, pop, Broadway and Hip Hop. They seamlessly bridge the sacred and popular, making their performances a must-see for any lover of music, and is a performance not to be missed, promising to leave everyone feeling uplifted, inspired, and moved.
RAIN OR SHINE: In case of inclement weather, the performance will move indoors to the Community Room of the Cola Center at Untermyer Park and Gardens.
Tickets are $30 each, plus Eventbrite fees. Click here or the image above to purchase tickets.
