Tom Gold Dance, Rain Date June 25
On Sunday, June 25 at 5:00 PM, the amphitheater at Untermyer Gardens will be the perfect setting for a captivating performance by Tom Gold Dance. Bold and original, the company aspires to the highest level of artistry through an integrated approach to original choreography, music, and design within the framework of a traditional classical dance vocabulary. The audience is in for a treat as they experience two new works by the company: "B-Shert," a piece whose name means "destiny" in Yiddish, set to the beautiful music of Erik Satie, and “XV" which was recently premiered and is set to Mendelssohn’s Variations Concertantes, Op. 17 for cello and piano, in honor of the dance company’s fifteenth anniversary. The final piece on the program is called Rapid Oxidation. The company will present the entire work, a duet, for the first time since its premiere in spring 2018.
