Our annual Sunset Soirée, on Sunday, June 4, in the Walled Garden from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. is SOLD OUT. The Soirée is the Conservancy’s major fundraising event of the year, and its success is crucial to our ability to maintain the splendor of Untermyer Park and Gardens, which is open free to the public and enjoyed by more than 125,000 visitors a year.
Our theme is Gala in a Mughal Garden, which will celebrate the garden’s Indian heritage. Enjoy an elegant evening suffused with Indian cuisine, music, and Mughal style in a spectacular garden setting. Premium cocktails, fine wines, sumptuous Indian canapés, and dessert will be impeccably served by Master chef Vicky Vij and Bukhara Grill. The evening will include a live auction of three prizes. Garden tours will be offered at 4:30 p.m.
We are pleased to honor Gurvinder Singh, CEO and co-founder of Indus Valley Partners, a global provider of innovative technology solutions and digital-first managed services to the investment industry. The inaugural Minnie Untermyer Award, which recognizes excellence in the arts, will be presented to Aroon Shivdasani, who fostered the career of countless Indian artists as founder and director of the Indo-American Arts Council.
