Lori Belilove and the Isadora Duncan Dance Company, September 4

In this historic setting, the dancers will breathe new life into the Isadora Duncan legendary solos and exhilarating group works. Raw and unassuming, vibrant and sensual, the dancers are swathed in silk and borne aloft by the brilliant musicality of Duncan's choreography. Last on the program, a reimagined new work, “For Ukraine” set to the Ukrainian National Anthem. In this new work, Artistic Director Lori Belilove and her Company pay homage to the heroic valor and grit of the Ukrainian people. Belilove, herself a descendant of Ukrainian ancestry, reimagines these dances that evoke the cry, the terror, the loss.
