Family Fun Day - October 9, 2022 1:00-4:00 p.m.
1:00-1:45 p.m. -- Flavors of Magic will present a magic show outdoors in the Amphitheater. Omar Olusion, a New York City icon, will perform a show with his unique combination of sleight of hand magic and comedy! You may recognize Omar from his television appearances on SPIKE TV & GBTV's program: The Blaze. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12.
2:00 & 3:00 p.m. -- After the show, have an adventure of your own on a Family Adventure Tour: our guides will engage your kids with lively exchange about plants, mythology, architecture, sculpture, and ruins. Each 60-minute tour is intended for children between 7-12 who must be accompanied by at least one adult. Choose from a tour of the Temple of Love to Dell at 2:00 p.m. or the Walled Garden at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $12 per child, accompanying adults and children under 2 are free. Meet at the pop-up tent outside the Walled Garden.
2:00-4:00 p.m. -- Learn a Magic Trick: workshops every 15 minutes. Stop by the Society of American Magicians table just outside of the Walled Garden where Members of the Society of American Magicians will teach you a magic trick to let you read your friends' minds! Have a friend place the cube with colored sides in the closed box and you can tell which color is up, every time. No sleight of hand necessary. Everyone can succeed. You can pre-purchase your prop for $10 or purchase it at the event, while supplies last.
2:00-4:00 p.m. -- Take a leisurely hayride along our rustic carriage trail starting at the top of the Rock and Stream Garden and going down to the Ruin Garden then back up to the starting point. You’ll pass through the meadow, woodlands, and the new circular fountain on the way. $8 per person, 10 maximum per ride. Meet at the Carriage Trail at the Temple of Love gate.
2:00-4:00 p.m. -- Round out your day with a kite flying activity! Put together a kite and fly it on the big lawn outside the Walled Garden. Kids will be running and catching the wind as their kites soar like the hawks and eagles who often fly far overhead. Kites can be purchased in advance or at the event for $10, or you may bring your own. Pick up kites at the pop-up tent outside the Walled Garden.
We do not use physical tickets. Your name will be added to the door list. Please check in at the reservation table the day of the event.
Tickets may be available on the day of the event, until sold out. All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable.
In case of bad weather, the event will be cancelled, and fees refunded. Ticket holders will be notified by email, no less than 1 day in advance of cancellation, if cancellation is necessary.
