Persian classical music in the open-air amphitheater at Untermyer Gardens, in this first performance of the 2025 Minnie Untermyer Series. This year's Minnie Untermyer Concert Series opens with Behesht - a performance of Persian classical music. "Behesht" (بهشت) in Persian means "paradise" or "heaven" and what could be more appropriate in this Persian paradise garden! Featuring Moslem Alipour, master of the kamancheh, Roxana Sarrafi on vocals, Alireza Parhizkar and Miead Nik Farjam on daf, and Ali Ahmad Khostovan on dayereh. The audience will be transported to a world of intricate melodies and rhythms, where the timeless beauty of Persian music will be on full display. All sales final.
During the intermission, patrons can indulge in the flavors of Persia with delicious treats available for purchase (advance purchase or cash sales only).
Asrooneh plate (watermelon, feta cheese, herbs, bread, & walnuts) with a drink $10; Scoop of Persian ice cream $6
Due to the unsettled weather forecast, the Persian Concert with Moslem Alipour and Roxana Sarrafi has been POSTPONED TO THE PUBLISHED RAIN DATE - SUNDAY, JUNE 8, at 5:00 PM.
The concert will happen rain or shine on SUNDAY, JUNE 8. If there is wet weather on Sunday, the concert will be moved indoors to the Cola Center. When you arrive at the garden on Sunday, look for signs and volunteers to direct you to the concert location.
As of Friday afternoon, some tickets are available for the concert.
Concert Tickets: $35 plus Eventbrite Fees; Food, drink, and ice cream purchases are additional.
