917 Warburton Avenue Parking and Entrance:
Parking on North Broadway is difficult on weekends from May through October. Please consider using the lower entrance to the garden at 917 Warburton Avenue, where street parking is plentiful. This gives access to the rest of the garden above, and requires more physical strength as it is an uphill walk.
Please be sure to obey parking signs, as parking is only allowed on the West side of Warburton Avenue, the opposite side of the street from the entrance.

After parking along Warburton Avenue, walk around the stone and iron gate and walk uphill along the carriage trail, an unpaved wide path that leads uphill to the Old Croton Aqueduct and the Ruin Garden.

Cross the Old Croton Aqueduct to enter Untermyer Gardens at the Ruin Garden near the lion and unicorn statues.
Go through the pedestrian gate and you have two options: one, turn right onto the old carriage trail. The unpaved carriage trail winds upward through the estate to the gardens and can be navigated on foot. Two, go up the stairs and around the Ruin Garden, through the Rhododendron Walk, up more stairs to the Ornamental Vegetable Garden and Orchard, which leads to the bottom of the Vista.

December 8 - January 1: Grand Holiday Illumination from 4:30 - 8:00 PM

The gardens are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas (The Walled Garden opens at 4:30pm), New Year's Day (The Walled Garden opens at 4:30pm), Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and President's Day.

During the winter, in icy conditions, the gardens will be closed.
