Art in the Gardens with Julia Eisen-Lester - 09/28/2019
Spend a morning with artist Julia Eisen-Lester in the gardens creating art from 10 AM until 12:30 PM September 28, 2019.
Eisen-Lester began her journey as an artist at the Art Student’s League in the fall of 1969. This is where she studied the Nicolaides method of drawing with Lester Rondell and anatomy with Robert Beverly Hale. She remained at the League for over four years studying as a full time student. Shortly after she attended the New School, where she took classes in clay sculpture and anthropology.
Throughout her artistic practice she has experimented through a variety of media. Her portfolio includes works rendered in graphite, pastel, gouache, watercolor, oil paint and collage. Her most recent works are in oil, concentrating in urban life.
She has been painting and teaching out of her Yonkers studio for the last 25 years.
If fewer than five students register, we will cancel and refund or reschedule the class. For this reason we ask that you purchase your tickets before the day of the class.
